ProSAC For What Ails the Three Chapter Writer
One of the issues I struggled with most as a writer was actually finishing a manuscript. I wanted to be a writer, I wanted to submit to editors, I wanted to make a sale, but something -- I'm not sure what -- held me back. I had a mission excuses: not enough time, too many distractions, sidetracked by other ideas, writer's block, lack of confidence, fear of failure.
In spring of 2007, I started a group for members of my RWA chapter who were not published and had not made PRO status. Once a week, three other dedicated writers and I met at a local coffee shop for two hours. Our goal was to finish a manuscript. We called ourselves ProSAC (Pro-Seeking Authors Commit).
Recognizing that many other writers confronted the same challenges we did, it just made sense to create an online presence where writers could find support, tips, encouragement and tools to move pas the classic "third chapter" crash and burn syndrome.
So, welcome to ProSAC. I hope you find this information helpful. Check back often as there's always something new.
